1. Understand the purpose

Exercise name, process purpose, and scope Simulated, recorded, or observed? What date/revision and limitations apply?

2. Follow one value

Measurement, physical meaning, units, and valid range Source → controller → display / historian: where does it go? What identifies sample age, quality, or missing data? What could the number alone conceal?

3. Follow one action

Who requests it, who decides, and what conditions permit it? What confirms the outcome? What happens after a stop or data loss?

4. Draw the relationships

Sketch or describe measurements and commands separately; use fictional identifiers in public copies

5. Evidence and uncertainty

Expected result → actual observation → evidence reference → what this does not prove

6. Explain the lesson

One observation, one corrected assumption, one unanswered question, and a next test
